It has been forever since I have had time or the will to write another post. Not because I haven’t wanted to, because I for sure have and I even feel lazy for not, but because I finally found my dream job – the one that fuels my never ending passion for travel and education.

This is by far my longest post to date, but it’s been about two months since I last wrote and I have to play catch up so bare with me 🙂 Being home, back in the United States, it’s been hard for me to muster up the words to express how I have been feeling.

Well, like all good things do, my 13 months abroad has come to an end and I couldn’t be more in shock. Everything went by so fast. I feel like just yesterday I stepped off that plane with my 4 suitcases filled with youthful excitement, and now am back in the mother land broke as fudge.
I remember the morning I left like it was yesterday. I didn’t sleep at all the night before − I couldn’t, not with how anxious I was. When I left home to set out for the airport, tears filled my eyes. I tried my best not to start whaling because I didn’t want to ruin my makeup.

Before, when I was living in the United States, I always had my routine. I food prepped on Sundays and worked out at the gym right next to my house around 6:00 or 7:00 am before work. However, when I was traveling a ton, keeping up with a healthy routine was difficult, but it did’t have to be.
Traveling is all fun and games until a young man wearing a hot pink polo, ray bans, and a pair of Hollister flip flops comes up to you with an AK-47 and asks you to follow him into a lonely room in the corner of the border patrol station. Yep, that happened, sketchy right?
